Worcester & Birmingham Canal - Monday

We had a further expedition in Worcester this morning then set the GPS to find Tesco supermarket on the way to the boat. After ending up in a residential area somewhere, we figured that we must have got something wrong. Put the postcode into the GPS again and found our way there. Bought supplies for a few days & hope that we can find another supermarket somewhere along the Stourport ring. Set the GPS for the boat yard and eventually found our way. We had our induction and got away from the boat hire place around 3pm. Sparkling wine, cheese and biscuits to celebrate leaving on the boat. After 10 locks and about 5 miles we stopped for the night. We’d planned for about 3 hours cruising but managed to get 5 locks further than planned. Once we stopped, we looked over the boat in a bit more detail and discovered that there were no towels. We decided that the roll of paper towel we had would not sufice, so we rang the boat yard and are waiting for towels to be delivered. Nice smells coming out of the oven at the moment, bottle of rose went down quickly.
