Llandudno Wednesday

The morning started with  some phone calls to find a dentist. Gill broke a tooth. We were able to ring a dentist in Llandudno and make an appointment for 9am on Thursday. Very fortunate. Our first visit today was to Bodnant Gardens, a huge, spectacular National Trust property in north Wales. Unforunately the stunning Laburnum arch that we’'ve seen on previous occasions finished 2 weeks ago, but the offset was that the Roses were in full bloom. We walked to The Far End (that’s what it is shown as on the map) along the river, up and down steep paths, a couple of kilometres or so. Great scenery.

We then went on to Conwy, to revisit Aberconwy House, a 14th century merchant’s house and then on to our Air B&B in Llandudno for 2 nights. It’s in a great location, only a very short block back from the seafront, and a very short block from the main street. Layout is a little unusual. The first bedroom opens off the entry passage (that leads to the owner’s upstairs living quarters), the second bedroom just pass the stairs, with the kitchen off the second bedroom and bathroom off the kitchen. The owner has provided an impressive amount of stuff for breakfast, a big range of cereal, pastries, nice pod coffee, fresh fruit. We’ve just come back from a walk to and then out on the Llandudno Pier. Its the longest pier in Wales  (700m) and the fifth longest in England and Wales.
