After a very pleasant night
and breakfast, we put our next address, with Erich & Ursula, into the GPS.
The GPS indicated around 4 hours. We turned off the plotted route and had a
coffee outside a café in Mengen. Some attractive buildings.
We came across a detour and
followed the arrows, ending up on a new wide road that the GPS didn’t know
about and ended up in a quarry. Turned around and, much to “her” displeasure,
made our own decision as to how we find our way through another village, not
bad without any maps, hoping that “she” could find us later. This worked and we
were soon back on track, not far from where we should have been originally.
Eventually we arrived in Ulm and found a nice place beside the Danube to have
lunch.
On then to Nattheim to spend
time with Erich & Ursula. Erich likes his cars, and when we were here about
17 years ago, he took us for a spin in his Super 7 car. He still has it and has
added to his fleet with a rally Opel Kadett rally car, a Porsche 911 and a Porsche
Macan.
